Swift Parrots have returned again.

The Swift Parrot is on Australia's
Nationally Endangered Species List, with only 1200 breeding pairs left in the wild.
This amazing bird has the longest return migration route of any parrot in the world.
A distance of up to 5000 kilometres.
The Swift Parrot migrates from it's Tasmanian breeding grounds each year to feed over winter on the Australian mainland.

This DVD will show you how to identify a Swift Parrot by sight and by call, with some fabulous close up shots. It will also help you to tell the difference between a Swift Parrot and other birds that can be mistaken for them.
You will witness rare footage of some of their feeding habits, never seen before.

Compiled from over 10 years of observations and 5 years of filming in Muckleford , which is just out of Castlemaine in Victoria, by Debbie Worland.
